You are invited to join Chef Larry Fournillier in Bangkok!

As a chef in Trinidad & Tobago (T&T) and Chief Evangelist of authentic Caribbean cuisine and culture, I have been intrigued with the similarities between Trinidad & Tobago and Thailand. Initially, I connected with other chefs from around the world and in Thailand, all sharing a love for cooking Thai food.  As I explored more deeply the people, culture and lifestyle of Thailand, the concept of the 10th Parallel North Project developed into a extensive tour of Thailand - from the mountains in the North to the beaches in the South.  Google+ and YouTube foodie friends of mine - Geoff Carter of the U.K., photographer Nila Sweeney of Australia, videographer and fellow Trinidadian, Richard Gobin and travel blogger Mia Voss of the U.S. - will be joining me, helping to document the unique stories of Thai cuisine and culture, as we travel.

My intent is to document our journey through video and postings on most social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter and Google+, as well as the production of an E-book featuring the people we have met, the foods we have prepared or tasted and the unique cultural and lifestyle experiences that only "the locals" can introduce one to.  This will provide a "first-hand experience" of both the similarities and the differences between T&T and Thailand, both 10th Parallel countries.

No trip to Thailand would be complete without a visit to Bangkok!  This thriving, capital city is a foodies' dream of markets, both on land and water, rich with cultural experiences.  I invite you to join my team as we explore the night markets, clubs and unique Thai destinations - be a part of documenting these experiences.  I have also arranged for some special treats as part of the tour. We'll spend time with Mark Wiens, noted food traveler and Bangkok resident, has agreed to cook some Thai dishes with us at a local cooking school. Mark is very engaging and provides entertaining, knowledgeable insight into Thai food.  Our photographer, Nila, will conduct an optional photo walk with you.  Plus you will be able to immediately share your daily experiences through the support of my team via Google+, private hangouts and YouTube!

I am looking forward to experiencing Thailand through your eyes - please join us!
